Can Chinese men get it up?

That’s the question of the day. I came to wondering this by taking a walk along one the streets in Suzhou and as I passed a pharmacy I saw a massive advertisement for Viagra. Advertising for Viagra is extremely common at pharmacies in Suzhou however this one was a little different on a neon cardboard sign attached to the upper edge of the Viagra Advertisement was Bold letters that proclaimed “A Great Gift For Your Friends” I don’t know about in your home country but in Canada there is no way anyone would even tell their friends they needed Viagra. I can’t even imagine this conversation

Mike: Hey Dave your wife told me your having some issues with getting the little guy up

Dave: Yeah It doesn’t matter how much I turkey choke him he just won’t firm up he flops over in seconds

Mike: Really that’s awful

Dave: Tell me about it

Mike: By the way Happy Birthday here a little something for you

Dave: WOW! Thanks Mike this Viagra is just what I needed

Mike: No problem

Dave: I don’t know how I can repay you, you’ve saved my marriage

Mike: Don’t worry about it. My birthday is coming up next week just get me a case of those little blue magic pills also.

Does that conversation sound realistic? I should think not. I think if you question most foreign men about their impotence they would probably beat you half to death

However my curiosity was forcing me to investigate so I went inside the pharmacy and asked the 2 woman working there if the Viagra was a popular item to buy and they told me it was extremely popular I asked them if they got a lot of grandpa’s popping in to stock up on the stuff. When I said this they burst out laughing I was intrigued why this would make them laugh because back home Viagra was grandpa’s wish come true and grandma’s nightmares come to life

So I had to ask who was the main consumer which they quickly pointed out was men in their 20’s or 30’s which struck me as surprise because I figured men in their 20’s and 30’s would have the least trouble getting it up. They said that they rarely have old men come in and buy it however occasionally some woman who look “kept” come in and pick some up which they are presumably bringing home to their sugar daddy

It was these facts that brought me to the questions of “Can Chinese men get it up” which I hope any Chinese men reading this will be able to comment or any Chinese woman who might experienced this at the receiving end can add in their 2 cents

hahahaha. it really cracks me up. btw, i am chinese, now in sweden.

Most of consumers can have good sex with their wives. The reason why ppl rush to buy those blue pills coz it is advertised that Viagra can turn good to amazing. Even I know some ppl, before they go to prosititutes, take Viagra and hope to make each penny spent on expensive girls worth.

So it is those companies passing wrong information to public which should be to blame for.

Haha, I think the main reason they might tout the “gift” angle is more to save face. Advertising that you “can” buy it for a gift makes it easier for the guy to go in and say “no, no really… it’s for a friend.”

That’s actually one of the more clever ads I’ve seen come to think of it.

I wonder what would happen if a woman ingested some of those blue pills.

    Funny post by the way.

Maybe impotance is not the only reason one would like to buy and use viagra… a lot of gay friends of mine like to use it to enhance their preformance and esp. endurance :)
and @ hek: if a woman takes viagra there usually is some effect like longer and more swelling in the labia’s etc but a lot less dramatic if compared to the effect with men, sorry ;)

Does that conversation sound realistic? My answer is no.It’s just advertisement.the viagra company r always trying to exaggerate the truth in order to promote the products.
And I quite suspect the 2 women’s saying, when u asked them, perhaps they were just kidding with u,cuz u were from other country.

@ Ray, that conversation was written by me as an example of what doesn’t happen in North America. And the conversation with the 2 woman i don’t think its too likely that they were joking with me because one we spoke in Chinese and two they were very shocked when i asked them the older woman was blushing very much
    but thanks for reading

My, my, my, it seems you young fellows have not heard about the latest - Viagra is now the recreational drug of choice amongst many virile and (over)active men in Canada. So the real conversation would go like this:

Hey Basil did you try that half tab of vitamin V I gave you?

Yes it was great. Rock solid. Lasted forever.

    Were you with the wife?

Hell no I was with the 30 year old. She appreciated every minute of it!

    etc. etc.

I think that the Chinese advertisers have actually stumbled upon what is going on here. To quote my (lady) doctor when I asked for another batch of Viagra or Cialis or Levitra samples and told her they cost $15 each. “The viagra samples go real fast. Now I know why.” Chinese people like to show off their wealth to their friends so what is more hip than passing on some legit vitamin V! Enjoy

hei man ,i’m just a college student in china.
    i saw ur qusetions
i have and want to say something to you.
    BUT
    i’m a girl….and i have no boyfriend now

As far as i know the friends beside me
    there’s none tried viagra
i think the impotence peoples are anywhere in the world
    not only in CHINA .
    the advertisement is not realistic
a proverbial saying?a tree is known by its fruit
if the Chinese man can not get it up
why the populace in China are the Frist in the world???

Bro!how could u come up with this conversation!u were fooled i suppose!Chinese r too shy to talk about it!u Canadian really do that way?it’s just stupid ads!U think brawny and huge guy wouldn’t be impotent?Chinese r tiny, but they r damn good!

I agree that impotence effects men from every country I wasn’t commenting that Chinese men experience it more than other countries. I was commenting on the abundance of advertisements. And if you look closely you will see in the post that i mentioned that the conversation between DAVE and MIKE was created by me I was using it as an example of what we don’t hear back home. However, the conversation with the nurses at the pharmacy did occur.
It could be as Rockinrazor pointed out that Chinese men might be using it to enhance their sex life not because they need it.

Eleven: i didn’t say Chinese men were infertile I know thats not the case because China now has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world and the most accessible abortion clinics.
And not to know you off your pedestal but your quote
“if the Chinese man can not get it up
why the populace in China are the First in the world”
there is an extremely simple answer its because for the last few hundred years almost all Chinese men refused to wear condoms and they also needed large families because of(check wikipedia yourself because i don’t want my page blocked for posting it here)

I have found another post that actually backs up a few of my observations so be sure to check it out

I am a Chinese man living in the U.S. I’m from China and have lived in the States for 20+ years. Your question on Chinese men is a stereotype. But to your credit, there is some truth to it. I don’t know and I don’t want to over-generalize. I know if I were a woman, which I am not, I would prefer western men in bed. However, Chinese men have improved their male image a lot in recent years. For one thing, they are getting cleaner as a group. Some of my Chinese friends still stink to high heaven. That alone would turn off any women. Second, they are physically fitter than most other racial groups. Chinese men used to be very stressed out and unhappy, which probably could did a big damage to their sex life. As for me, I am small to medium build. But sexually I am there with any major leaguers. Also, I usually tend to think Western women are a lot more sexual than Asian women.
